Role Description

Extrastaff is a leading national provider within the Health Care sector. We work with iconic and respected companies Australia wide, sharing our expertise and assisting employers in maximising the capabilities of their workforce.

We are currently looking for Cooks and Chefs for our clients located in the Albury and Wodonga areas, and surrounds.

ABOUT THE ROLES:

As a Chef / Cook your duties will be:
• Coordinating and participating in the preparation of high-quality meals for residents in accordance Aged Care food service guidelines
• Working with specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods
• Assisting service staff where necessary to complete work schedules within designated times including plating and services of meals.
• Monitoring temperature control checks for all meals, cool rooms, and freezers.
• Promoting food and kitchen hygiene and safety practices, to ensure compliance requirements are met
• Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and all equipment well maintained
• Ordering, checking, and rotating all food supplies

REQUIREMENTS FOR ROLE:
• Minimum Certificate III in Cookery or equivalent
• Minimum 6 months previous experience working in Health Care environments (Aged Care, Hospitals)
• Great communication skills
• Current National Police Clearance
• Current Working with Childrens Clearance
• Current flu vaccination 2024
• COVID vaccinations
• Flexibility to work across mornings, afternoons & ON-CALL shifts
